Jennifer Harwood is a Vancouver based artist with a BA in Contemporary Dance and a diploma in graphic design. She is largely a self-taught painter and has taken classes through Emily Carr’s Continuing Education program, as well as studying with various artists in Canada and the US.

Jennifer has shown her work at Red Art Gallery in Victoria, Stark + Kent in Palm Springs and is currently represented by Art Interiors in Toronto. She has also achieved her AFCA status with the Federation of Canadian Artists.

Jennifer’s artwork centres primarily around the landscape with a strong use of colour and energetic brushwork. She works from both photographs and imagination with the goal of capturing both a sense of place and feel of being there.

Jennifer’s encouraging and supportive nature helps students find the confidence to explore the technical aspects of art making as well as finding one’s own voice.
