Harvey Chan is an award winning, Vancouver based artist (originally from Hong Kong), specializing in the human form. Since graduating from Ontario College of Art, he has been working as a professional illustrator and art educator.

Harvey’s diverse body of exploratory work revolves around the human condition, expressed through human faces and figures. Working in a mixed-media approach using traditional & digital media, he brings together realism and abstraction within innovative compositions, and believes it’s up to the artist and viewer to find their own personal balance within this spectrum.

With over 20 years of teaching experience in art institutions (OCADU, Sheridan College, Toronto School of Art, Capilano University) and private ateliers, Harvey is known for his open-minded and experimental style as an art educator. His positive energy and supportive spirit has inspired students of all levels to explore, grow and develop.
